- To help students use communication skills to know when and how to ask for what they need.
- To connect for students how school success enhances their future career and vocational opportunities.
- To help students learn about the traditional and nontraditional occupations.
- To provide students with the opportunity to assess personal interests and aptitudes in relation to career interest.
Personal/Social:
- To help students develop a positive attitude toward themselves as a unique and worthy person.
- To help students recognize, accept and respect individual differences.
- To assist students in developing resiliency and effective coping skills.
- To assist students to develop appropriate problem-solving and decision making skills to resolve conflicts and to accept responsibility for their choices.
